The Prototype
The prototype allows you to see a sample of the garment and to make changes to the fit and design prior to the production process. Prototypes are essential when creating a Premiere Design garment. This is an option for Classic and Classic Enhanced Services. For more information on this service, refer to
The Prototype, an Essential Part of Premiere Design Services.
The prototype is created approximately four weeks from the date your deposit is received. It will be shipped to you with the ‘Prototype Kit’. The kit you receive includes detailed instructions. To receive the finished garments by your due date, both the prototype and prototype kit must be returned to us in accordance with our agreed upon time schedule.
- Try the garment on as many individuals as possible, indicating which members the garment fits
- Identify and explain in detail any fitting issues. Pictures are helpful in identifying your concerns.
- Record notes, comments and requested changes on Prototype Approval Form (PDF)
- Return garment, prototype form and sizes or measurements to us in the self-addressed envelope provided in the ‘Prototype Kit’
When the sample is returned, our customer service staff will call you to review any changes or suggestions.
